Norberto Carreiro, 52, of Fall River, husband of Natalia (Botelho) Carreiro, died at home Thursday 5/29/14 after a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St Michael, Azores, son of the late Luis Raposo Carreiro & the late Maria Bolieiro Pereira, he emigrated to Fall River in 1981. He worked as a foreman with Pavao Construction for about 15 years until retiring early due to disability. A member of St Anthony's Band Club and Don Carlos Club, he enjoyed fishing and farming, and was a loyal fan of our local professional sports teams. Besides his wife, he leaves: 2 children, Gary Carreiro (wife Angela) & Tiffany Carreiro (companion Joe Anctil) both of Fall River; 3 brothers, Manuel P. Carreiro of Assonet, Dorvalino & Euclides Carreiro both of Fall River; many nieces & nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, June 3, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
