Medeiros
d. Apr 29, 2022
Norberto P. Medeiros, 84, of Fall River, husband of Sueli (Cano) Medeiros and the late Lucinda (Silva) Medeiros, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022 in the comforts of his home following a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Miguel de Medeiros and the late Alzira (Pereira) De Medeiros.
Prior to his retirement he was a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. An avid Red Sox fan, he also loved watching Westerns, and, in his younger days, swimming. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of its Holy Name Society. He enjoyed long drives, especially by the ocean, and exercising daily at the Boy's Club and socializing with all of his many great friends there.
Besides his loving wife, he leaves his children, Paul Medeiros and his wife, Delia, of Taunton, and Susan Logue and her husband, Greg, of Northern Ireland; his four grandchildren, Matthew Ouimette, Christopher Ouimette, Jacob Ouimette, and Holly Sue Sullivan and her husband, James; one great-granddaughter, Emma Sue Sullivan; four sisters, Osvalda Paz (late husband, Antonio), Rosalina Pereira (late husband, Gil), Laudalina Cabral (late husband, Antonio), and Lucia Carrelas and her husband, Manuel, all of Fall River; his Tio Miguel Pereira (late wife, Lucia) of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, May 4th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in Fall River.
