Norberto J. Pimentel, 65, of Fall River, Massachusetts, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Saint Anne's Hospital. Norberto was the husband of Teresa (Tavares) Pimentel, his loving wife of 38 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves three daughters, Beverly Mota and her husband Fernando, Kelly Vieira and her husband Tony and Nicole Silvia and her husband Andrew, all of Fall River.
Norberto leaves behind six grandchildren: Kylis, Makayla and Noah Mota; Sophia and Jakob Vieira; and Bennett Silvia.
He was the son of the late Ernesto Pimentel and the late Maria (Brum) Pimentel. He was the beloved brother to Raimondo Pimentel, Laura Resende, Natalia Abelha, Ernesto Pimentel and Jose Manuel Pimentel. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, Norberto emigrated to the United States in 1979. He worked for Medeiros Bakery and Leddy's Bakery for many years before retiring.
Norberto was known for love of music and his musical talent. In fact, he and his family launched the Banda Nova of Rabo de Peixe. He continued his love for music in the United States where he played for Banda Nossa Senhora Da Luz of Fall River.
Norberto loved his family and he will always be remembered for his wonderful smile and how he touched the lives of everyone who met him.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 9th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
