Norman "Chipper" Pontes, of Fall River left us Monday morning, September   27, 2021. He was great guy with a friendly personality and a kind way about him that was easy to love. Born in Fall River, Chipper was a son of the late Clara (Ferris) Pontes and the late Manuel  Pontes.

Chipper was a United States Army Veteran who proudly and bravely served his country during Vietnam. Prior to his retirement he was a Maitre'd at the former Venus DeMilo for many years. He enjoyed a good game of golf and always loved a great football game.

He is survived by two children Brian and Elizabeth and their children. He also leaves behind his brother Dennis Pontes  and his wife, Kathy, of Connecticut; his sister, Rosemary "Peachie" Pontes Ouellette of Fall River;  and many nieces , nephews, and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Robert "Bobby" Pontes.

Following his private cremation, His Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 14th, in St Anthony of the Desert Church.
