Normand A. Vezina, 78, of Somerset, died unexpectedly on June 25, 2008, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Marilyn (Rego Silva) Vezina, for 55 years. Born in Fall River, son of the late Albert & Marie Odelie (Grenier) Vezina, he resided in Somerset for the past 46 years. Mr. Vezina was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as a driver/salesman for many years in the local dairy business, first with Guimond Farms then LeComte's Dairy. Normand was also a member of St Thomas More Church. Father of David Vezina (wife-Mary Anne) of Berkley, Alan Vezina & Karen Sylvia (husband-Aaron) both of Swansea. Brother of Jaqueline Martel, Albert Vezina, Roger Vezina, Gertrude Galego & Donald Vezina all of Fall River, Pauline Houde, Jeanne Pichette & Beatrice Houde all of New Bedford, Delores Gagne of Westport, and the late Rene Vezina, Madeline Houde & Paul Vezina. Grandfather of Daniel, Bradford, Bethany, Jessica, Caitlin, Amanda & Olivia Vezina. Normand was also survived by many nieces & nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St Patrick Church. Pallbearers, Daniel and Brad Vezina, Donald Vezina Jr. Gerald, Edward & Paul Houde brought Mr. Vezina to his final resting place at St Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
