Olga do Carmo Carreiro, 59, fiancé of Gordon Barr, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, unexpectedly at home. Born in Ponta Delgada on the isle of St. Michael, in the Azores, a daughter of the late Antonio Tavares Carreiro & the late Idalina (de Jesus de Medeiros Tavares) Carreiro, she emigrated to the US in 1976, first residing in Somerville for many years, then moving to Fall River in 2000. She was employed as a senior board-rework technician in the microelectronics industry, at EMC for 17 years. Olga enjoyed gardening, but her passion was her grandchildren.

Besides Gordon, she is survived by: a daughter, Andreia Frontinan of Fall River; five siblings, Francisco Carreiro of Fall River, Margarida Machado, Dora Morais, Fatima Ferreira, and Conceicao Paulino all of the Azores; 2 grandchildren, Alexandra & Adam; and several nieces & nephews.

H er Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, April 25th, in our Fall River Chapel. Her burial was private.
