Olivia Carvalho, 93, formerly of Alden St., passed away on Monday. Widow of Manuel M. Carvalho, she was born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio and Paulina (Arruda) Borges. An active parishioner of Espirito Santo Church and long-time member of their Holy Rosary Society, she  was well known for her help in making the malassadas for many of their feasts. Mother of the late Manuel A. Carvalho, Olivia is survived by her late son's wife, Eduarda Carvalho; 2 grandsons, Jason (wife-Stacey) and Kenny (wife-Candice) Carvalho; 4 great grandchildren, Leanna, Caleb, Madeline and Nolan; a sister, Alice Amaral; many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Eduardo, Antonio, Jorge, Hortence and Beatriz Borges, Maria Cabral, and Paulina Arruda. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Friday, October 28th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
