Olivia A. Fortuna, 88, of 170 William St, formerly of 659 Bedford St, died Tuesday 4/12/11 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel & Margaret (Silva) Fortuna, she was a Class of 1940 BMC Durfee High School graduate. She worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry for many years until her retirement in 1984 and was a member of the ILGWU (now UNITE). Sister of the late Gilda Silva, Humbert Fortuna, Mary Malloy & Emily Fortuna. Aunt of Edward Malloy (wife-Flossie), Margaret Poisson (husband-Roger), John Malloy (wife-Roxanne), Patrick Malloy (wife-Cynde), Humbert Fortuna (wife-Jeanne) & Edward Fortuna. She also leaves several great nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, April 15, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by a committal service at St Patrick Cemetery.
