Olivia De Paiva, of Swansea, widow of Alfredo De Paiva, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3rd at Southpointe Rehab at the age of 94. Born in Ribeira Seca, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel M. and Maria do Carmo (Sousa) Coroa, she emigrated to Fall River in 1967, moving to Swansea in 1978. She is survived by her 3 children, Walter M. Paiva of Swansea, Lizette Paiva of Fall River and Roland Paiva of North Carolina; their spouses, Claudia Paiva, Julie Tavares and Diana Young-Paiva, respectively; 6 grandchildren, Monica Copeland of Arizona, Rachel Paiva of Somerset, Rebecca Paiva of Rhode Island, Dillon Paiva of Maryland, Coleman and Cooper Paiva both of North Carolina; 2 great grandchildren, Olivia and Camden Copeland both of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Angelina Ferreira, Joseph, Daniel, Geraldine and Maria de Deus Coroa. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, September 8th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
