Besides his loving wife of forty-five years, he leaves his children, Orlando S. Fernandes and his wife, Jennifer, of Taunton, Benjamin S. Fernandes and his wife, Diana, of Dartmouth, and Mark S. Fernandes of Cranston; his six grandchildren, Brandon, Juliana, Nathan, Elena, Alexander, and Francesca; his sisters, Fatima Marques (late husband, Manuel) and Elisa Medeiros and her husband, Manuel, both of Fall River, Fernanda Teixeira  (late husband, Daniel) of Taunton, and Ana Teixeira and her husband, Flavio, of Tiverton; his two brothers, Jose Fernandes and his wife, Noemia, of California, and Fernando Fernandes and his wife, Judite, of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.
