P. Arlene Varanese, 88, lifelong resident of Fall River, formerly of Hope Street, dear friend and companion of the late Rene Valois, died Wednesday, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. A seamstress for many years, retired from the local textile industry, she was a member of UNITE, and enjoyed dancing, as well as socializing and bingo at the local senior center, and spending time with her family and friends. Daughter of the late John and Mary C. Furtado, she is survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews. Her Funeral Service was held on Monday November 9th, during calling hours at our Fall River Chapel.
