Obituary

Patricia A. Medeiros, 76, of Fall River, lifelong love of the late Robert F. Souza, passed away after an eight-year battle with Dementia Alzheimer's on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Frank Medeiros and the late Belmira (Goncalo) Medeiros.

A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Patricia went on to earn a degree in education from the former Southeastern Massachusetts University. She also pursued studies at the International Institute in Madrid, Spain. Patricia dedicated more than 40 years to teaching, beginning her career at Sacred Heart Academy and later serving as a beloved Spanish teacher at Somerset High School until her retirement in 2008.

Patricia lived her life with warmth, creativity, and a spirit of generosity. She treasured her travels to Hilton Head with Bob, finding joy and peace in their time together. She loved crocheting, sewing and creating beautiful gifts for others, each one crafted with care and intention. Patricia was known for writing heartfelt letters and cards to her dear friends, nurturing meaningful lifelong connections. Patricia possessed an extraordinary ability to find just the right gift for each person, a gesture that made those around her feel seen, valued, and wonderfully special.

She is survived by the many lives she touched, especially her cousin Kathy Lussier, who was like a sister to her. She was predeceased by her sister, Veronica Bouchard.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 18th, at St. Joseph's Church in Fall River followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Hanover Hospice for their exceptional dedication, compassion, and support to Patricia throughout the past year. Their kindness brought great comfort and peace during a difficult time, and their care will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
