Patricia M. Silvia, 78, of Somerset, widow of Joseph W. Silvia, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Mattapoisett, daughter of the late Francis & Amelia Pacheco, she resided in Somerset most of her life. She worked in the local textile industry for many years, and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (now UNITE) and the Somerset AMVETS Post 72 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include: 2 sons, Michael J. Silvia (wife Pat) & Daniel F. Silvia (wife Cheryl); 3 grandchildren, Kimberly, Pamela & Kristin; 3 great grandchildren, Cole, Samantha & Declan; several nieces & nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 9th, in St. Patrick Church, Somerset, followed by her committal at at Nathan Slade Cemetery.
