Patricia A. Sousa, 74, of Fall River, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, surrounded by her family at the Somerset Ridge Center. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Frank B. and Herminia A. (Medeiros) Sousa. Patricia graduated from Salve Regina College and Boston University School of Social Work. For many years, she worked as a social worker for Head Start and Fall River Public Schools. She was also former president of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Greater Fall River and served as charter member, treasurer, usher chairman and choir member of Bay Community Baptist Church. Patricia is survived by her sister, Barbara A. Vincent of Tiverton, RI; nieces, Lynn A. Sousa of Fall River, Karen Ann Botelho of Fall River, Joanne Vincent Isabel of Somerset and Jana Marie McHenry of Dartmouth; nephews, Robert B. Sousa, Jr. of Fall River and Frank B. Sousa, III of Providence, RI; 1 grand nephew; 2 grand nieces; and 1 great grand nephew. She was also sister of the late Robert B. Sousa and Frank B. Sousa, Jr. Her Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 9th, in the Bay Community Baptist Church, 169 Ocean Grove Ave., Swansea, followed by her committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
