Paul A. Barao, 73, of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at home after an illness.  Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Manuel Barao and the late Mariana R. (Machado) Barao, he emigrated to Fall River in 1966.

Employed with the Fall River Public Works Department for many years prior to his retirement, Paul was also a member of the Teamsters Local #251.  He loved music and enjoyed watching WWE wrestling.  Paul was a long-time member of the former Our Lady of Health Parish.

He is survived by: four siblings, Antonio Baron (wife Fatima) of Somerset, Maria Carvalho (husband Antonio) of Fall River, Bert Barao (wife Dawn) of Fall River, and Fatima Tremblay (husband David) of W. Wareham, MA; and several nieces and nephews.  Paul was predeceased by four siblings, Joanne, Raymond, Peter, and Humberto Barao.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Visitation to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River.  Committal Service and interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
