Paul R. Bisson, 86, of Tiverton, husband of Jean (Alexander) Bisson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph Theodule Bisson and the late Maria (Campbell) Bisson.
Paul owned and operated various businesses in the local area, including Vaillancourt's Variety Store, 696 Eastern Ave., Fall River. He loved cooking and gathering with family and friends to celebrate every holiday. He spent many years spoiling his beloved dog, Tucker.
Besides his devoted wife of sixty-four years, he leaves his loving children, Diane J. Amaral of Coconut Creek, Florida, Suzanne M. Gaspar and her husband, Bruce, of Swansea, David Paul Bisson, of Fall River, and Lisa A. Batista and her husband, Al, of Tiverton; his ten grandchildren, Richard Amaral, Danielle (Amaral) Verga, Nicole Gaspar, Kyle Gaspar, Ryan Bisson, Adam Bisson, Eric Bisson, Brielle Batista, Kylie Batista, and Seth Batista, eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Helen Bisson of Fall River; one brother, Robert Bisson of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Donald R. Bisson and brother of the late Roland Bisson, Rudy Bisson, Lorraine Poitras, Norman Bisson and Sister Theresa Bisson OP.
His Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, December 13th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. His private cremation followed. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Paul's memory to: Alzheimers's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road. Waltham, MA 02452
