Paul H. LaFrance, 64, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 after a battle with lung cancer. Husband of Carol A. (Fillion) LaFrance. Born in Fall River, son of the late Antoine and Irene (Levesque) LaFrance. He worked for the former R.F. Neville/Acme Neville Co. for close to 30 years. Then went on to become a certified welding instructor and taught inmates for the Mass. Department of Corrections for 17 years. A base player, he played with the Band Revival for many years and was a member of the Fall River Rod and Gun Club. Paul was father of Karen C, Paulette and Patricia C. LaFrance, Nicole De Freitas, Christopher Picard and a deceased daughter (an infant named Karen LaFrance); brother of Cecile Forand, Claudette Barboza and the late Antoinette Sasso, Doris Mowad, Robert, Armand, Dennis and Albert LaFrance; grandfather of the late Peter Paul Boissoneault and Michael D. Moniz. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His Funeral service was held in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home. Pallbearers Christopher Picard, Steven Forand, Carl Sasso, Albert and James Fillion, George Levesque and Eric Tolley brought Paul to his final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
