Paul J. Labao, 40, of Somerset, passed away unexpectedly due to cardiac complications, while surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Maria (Couto) Labao of Somerset and Jose Labao of Fall River. A graduate of Somerset High School, he was a lifelong resident of Somerset.

He worked as a cook for many years at various local area restaurants, including the Railway Café of Somerset, and was an avid sports fan. Besides his parents, he leaves: a sister, Raquel Labao of Falmouth; a niece, Charlotte Clancy (who will miss her "Uncle Paulie"); and several aunts, uncles & cousins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 19th, in St. John of God Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Somerset.
