Paul E. Machado, Sr., age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late George Machado and the late Herminha (Cambra) Machado. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was employed for many years as an automobile mechanic and auto body technician. He also operated a tow truck for various shops in this city. Paul was a Veteran of the United States Army. Surviving family members include a son, Paul E. Machado, Jr., of Fall River, four daughters; Paula Dube, Lisa Ann Machado, Christine St Pierre, and Kimberly Machado, two stepsons; Kenneth and Mark Souza and a stepdaughter Julie Souza all of Fall River, four brothers; Robert D. Machado of Fall River, Ronald W. Machado of Sterling, VA, Lawrence R. Machado of Swansea, MA, and Roger Machado of Fall River, four sisters; Judith Wong and Patricia Nicolan, both of Westport, MA, Sandra Machado and Sharon Machado, both of Fall River, eleven grandchildren , four great grandchildren; his former wives Lorraine LaForest and Denise Schlemmer, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of the late Jada Lynn Thompson and brother of the late George Machado, Carlton Machado and Edward Machado. Burial was private.
