Obituary

Paul K. Pacheco, 79, of Fall River, husband of Joyce K. (LePage) Pacheco, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Tufts Medical Center, Boston. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph Pacheco and the late Hilda (Costa) Pacheco.

A truck driver for most of his adult life, and owner of JJJ Trucking, formerly of Fall River, Paul was also an avid car enthusiast who owned several antique cars throughout the years. A US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, he served two tours of duty in the late 1960s and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with Four Bronze Service Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation Badge.

He was a lifetime member of the Woodrow L. Silvia Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 5392 of Tiverton, RI, and served on its board of trustees. Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9 for fifteen years, Paul's greatest passion was helping veterans receive the benefits they deserve.

Besides his wife of 54 years, he is survived by: three sons, Paul K, Pacheco, Jr., of Berkley, Jeffrey A. Pacheco of Tiverton, and Jason A. Pacheco of Fall River; two brothers, Joseph Pacheco of Somerset and Alan Rick Pacheco of Fall River; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Pacheco and Leonard Pacheco.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 10th, in the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption followed by his committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
