Paula E. "Dee" Souza, 74 of Fall River, formerly of Tiverton RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 15, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Ayres B. "Ike" Souza and the late Delphina (Duarte) Souza.

She graduated from the Sacred Hearts Academy class of 1962. Paula worked for many years at the Fall River Trust Bank and for over 32 years for the Zayres/Ames Department Store. Paula had a strong faith, reading her devotions and bible daily and writing in her journal. She also loved to write poems. She loved to cook, bake, play bingo and do crossword puzzles. She had a "Heart of Gold" and enjoyed family times especially with her nieces and nephews who meant the world to her. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother for many years.

She leaves: her sister, Vivian, and her husband Robert, Souza of Bluffton, S.C.; and her nieces, Sheila, and her husband Michael, DeAlmeida, and their son Mikallan, of Fall River; and Stephanie Nazzaro of Bluffton, S.C., and her children, Cassandra Oliveira of Fall River and Alexander Nazzaro of Bluffton, S.C. She was the aunt of the late David Allan Oliveira; and the great aunt of the late David Allan DeAlmeida.

Her Funeral Service was held on Saturday, May 25th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by a private burial.
