Pauline H. Orlando, 90, widow of Joseph Orlando, former widow of John Dias, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late James Raymond Carvalho and the late Mary Louise (Therriault) Mello, formerly Carvalho, she later moved to Swansea.

Prior to her retirement, Pauline worked in the local textile industry, with Darwood Mfg. and Litten Industries. She was a member of the Democratic Town Committee, Battleship Cove C.B. Club, Swansea Ambulance Corps. Auxiliary, Swansea Independent Baseball League Auxiliary, and the Knights of Columbus Columbiettes. She also volunteered as a Poll Worker during elections. Pauline enjoyed playing Bingo, going to the casino, bowling, sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by: four children, James Dias of Fall River, Joyce Perry of Swansea, Janice L'Heureux and her husband Steven L'Heureux of Dartmouth, and Jeremy Dias of Fall River; six grandchildren, Brittany Camara, Ryan Perry, Cory Perry, Bryanne Dias, James Dias, and Jayden Lee Dias; four great grandchildren, Zakhary Dias, Avalyn Gadomski, Cayleb Souza and Bentley Perry. Pauline was also the mother of the late John Dias, Jr. and grandmother of the late Bethany Dias.

Her Funeral Service was on Tuesday, September 23rd, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
