Paulo Jorge Ferreira Rocha, 68, of Fall River, husband of Celina (Resendes) Rocha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2023 following a brief illness. Born in Vila Franca do Campo, St. Miguel, Acores, he was the son of the late Manuel Dos Santos Rocha and the late Isidoria (Ferreira) Rocha.

Prior to his retirement he was a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. An avid Benfica fan, he also loved traveling to such places as the Azores and Texas, going on cruises, and simply relaxing at the end of the day with a glass of wine. Most notably, Paulo lived for his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending quality time with all of them.

Besides his devoted wife of forty-five years, he leaves his two loving daughters, Melinda Wilson and her husband, Jesse, of Natalia, Texas, and Christine Azevedo and her husband, Kellen, of New Bedford; his seven grandchildren, Ethan Wilson, Lila Wilson, Aria Azevedo, Hudson Azevedo, Esther Wilson, Lucas Wilson, and Bennett Azevedo; and his two nieces, Caitlin Resendes and Emma Cardoso. He was also the grandfather of the late Jonas Wilson.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, December 5th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
