Pearl Ann McKane, 77, of Fall River, longtime companion of the late Arthur Perry and former wife of the late James McKane, passed away peacefully at the Somerset Ridge Nursing Home on Monday, November 18, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late James and Eleanora (Alua) Lewis. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Health Care Aide at then,  Model Cities, now Health First, for many years. A true homebody, Pearl simply loved being home, watching television and spending quality time with her loving family. She loved all animals and had a deep concern for their well being. Pearl also very much enjoyed shopping and decorating for all the Holidays. She leaves: her children, Pamela J. McKane and Christine Ferreira and her husband, Peter, both of Fall River, and Steven J. McKane and his wife, Donna, of New Bedford; eight grandchildren, Bethany Brasil, Christa McKane, Timothy McKane, Ian McKane, Josiah McKane, Emily Pearl Ferreira, Devon Ferreira, and Faith Ferreira; three great-grandchildren, Ella McKane, Alexis McKane, and Levi McKane; two sisters, Dorothy Hanson (late husband, Donald) of Fall River and Gail Desmarais and her husband, Arthur, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister  of the late James Lewis, Joseph Lewis, and Ernest Lewis. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, November 23rd, in St. Bernard Church, Assonet, followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
