Pedro G. Cruz, age 68, of Fall River, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Monday, May 4, 2009, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Conceicao (Rodrigues) Cruz. Born in Brazil, he was a son of the late Jorge G. Da Cruz and the late Maria (Dos Santos) Da Cruz. After residing in Brazil for twenty seven years he was married and moved to Fall River in 1968. Employed as a laborer for many years by Tilcon-Capaldi, he was a member of the Construction and General Laborers Union, Local 610 of Fall River. Mr. Cruz was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Bedford. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Road Knights of New England. In addition to Conceicao, his wife of forty one years, he is survived by four children, David Da Cruz and his wife Sirleuza of Fall River, Nancy D. Wilbur and companion Clifford Botelho, also of Fall River, Lauriene Duarte and her husband Paul of Taunton, MA, and Wendy Da Cruz of Fall River, five brothers, Adolfo Da Cruz and Laurindo Da Cruz, both of Brazil, Adenil Da Cruz of Fall River, Leonis Da Cruz of Swansea, MA, Joaquim Da Cruz of Manchester, New Hampshire, three sisters, Juanita Da Cruz, Aurelina Da Cruz and Adelaide Da Cruz, all of Brazil, seven grandchildren, Amber Sky Da Cruz, Aleasha Lyn Wilbur, David Da Cruz, Jr., Kyle J. Wilbur, Skyla R. Da Cruz, Abigail R. Duarte and Cameron M. Souza, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Paul Jorge Da Cruz. A Service was held at the Silva Faria Funeral Home. Pallbearers Christopher Rodrigues, Adenil and Leones Da Cruz, Isac Souza, Paul Medeiros and Firmiano Ribeiro brought Pedro to his final resting place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
