Pedro Da Veiga, 83, of Fall River, husband of Maria Jesus Monteiro (Fontes) Veiga, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Cabo Verde, a son of the late Joviano Da Veiga and the late Maria De Andrade, he emigrated to Brockton, MA, in 2000 and resided in Fall River for the past three years.

Employed in farming and landscaping for many years, Pedro enjoyed food, music, and dancing, but loved his family more than anything.

Besides his wife of 56 years, he is survived by: ten children, Helena Alves, Clarisse Monteiro, Fativa Alves, Amilcar Veiga, Joviano Veiga, Maria Andrade, Isabel Furtado, Jose Da Veiga, Luis Veiga, and Manuel Veiga; two siblings, Antonio Da Veiga and Antonio Barbosa Da Veiga; 28 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pedro was also a brother of the late Maria Da Veiga, Sebastiano Da Veiga, and Joao da Veiga.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 3rd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
