Peter Hiotelis, 98, of Somerset, husband of Helen (Ferry) Hiotelis, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Grace Barker Nursing Home, in Warren, Rhode Island. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Efratios P. Hiotelis and the late Helen (Partalidas) Hiotelis.

He served his country in World War II in the 27 Wolfhounds in Japan. His father and Peter started the King Philip Lunch in 1948 and retired 62 years later. He was a member of Corky Row, Amvets Post 60 and American Legion Post 228.

Peter is survived by his son, Peter Charles and his wife Maria, of Raynham, and his daughter, Mae Medeiros and her husband Steve, of Bristol, Rhode Island; grandchildren Maegan, Rayna, and Nichalas; and nephew Steve Foley. Peter was predeceased by his siblings Kay Foley and William Hiotelis.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 22nd, at St. Patrick's Church of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Somerset followed by his committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery, also in Somerset.
