Philomena G. Fonseca, 85, of Somerset, passed away Friday at Catholic Memorial Home. Widow of Frank Fonseca. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Alvaro and Inez (Tavares) Candeias. She worked at Jackson Mfg. Co. for many years. She was mother of Richard (wife-Patricia) and Ronald Fonseca; grandmother of Patricia, Richard and Jessica; great grandmother of Jocelyn, Savannah, Gracie and Aidan; sister of the late Manuel, Alvaro, John and Francis Candeias, Mary Gallant, Albertina Nicolau, Lillian Rodrigues, Agnes Stark and Florence Costa. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Patrick Church. Her committal service was held at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
