Phyllis Gomes, 69, of Fall River, wife of Emery M. Gomes, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Rhod Island Hospital. Born in Fall River, daughter the late Albert Nisbet and the late Elizabeth (Reynolds) Nisbet, she grew up in Swansea and was a Case High School graduate but resided in Fall River most of her life.

A Licensed Practical Nurse in the local health care industry for many years, Phyllis was employed at Country Gardens Nursing Home for almost 50 years including time she had worked there as a young CNA. A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed going out to dinner and spending time with family and friends.

Besides her husband of 38 years, she is survived by her son, Emery M. Gomes, Jr. of Fall River. Her brother, Kenneth Nisbet, predeceased her.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Gathering to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.

Following a private cremation, Her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 21st, in St. Anthony of Padua Church.
