Rachel Barboza, 40, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2019 at home. Rachel was born in Fall River and was a daughter of Paul M. Barboza, Sr. and Marie (Cipollini) Barboza. Rachel belonged to the Holy Rosary Church and had worked as a cook at the Macaroni Shop for many years. She loved her children and family deeply… They were her whole heart and soul.  She had the biggest heart and would help anyone in any situation. Rachel had a genuine love for life. She loved to laugh and play jokes on her family and friends. Ms. Barboza was well known for her personality and amazing sense of humor. Her smile would light up the room. Despite the challenges in her life, Rachel never gave up. Her strength and resilience were admirable. She loved being around family and friends, music, going to the beach, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles, fishing, horror movies, animals and going for long scenic rides.

In addition to her parents she is survived by: her 2 children, Norman L. Reed, Jr. and his companion Shakina Pontes of Fall River, and Hailey M. Dias of Pembroke; paternal grandmother, Margaret "Margie" Barboza; 5 siblings, Heather M. Barboza (companion-David Carrita, II), Kyle M. Barboza, Paul M. Barboza, Jr. (companion-Crystal Medeiros), Olivia M. Barboza, Marianna C. Barboza all of Fall River; nephews and nieces, David Carrita, III, Devin Carrita, Ariana Barboza, Azly Barboza, Aydin Barboza and Dominic Carrita. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.  She was the great granddaughter to the late Mary T. "Meme" Barboza, the granddaughter of the late Romeo G. "Chip" Cipollini, Jr. and Marie T. (Fragoza) Cipollini, the owners of the Macaroni Shop, and the niece of the late Richard "Ricky" Barboza. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 10th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 9 AM. Other arrangements were private.
