Raimundo Pimentel, age 82, passed away at Crawford Nursing Home in Fall River on Friday, February 24, 2017, following an extended illness. He was the husband of Maria M. (Benevides), and was also the husband of the late Ana Correia Pacheco

Born in Rabo de Peixe, St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Ernest Pimentel and the late Maria dos Anjos Brum. Mr. Pimentel was a shoe maker in Portugal.He had been a parishioner of Esprirto Santo Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Raimundo was also a member of the Madeirense Sporting Club

In addition to his wife, Maria, surviving family members include his children, Mario Jorge Pimentel and his wife Eduarda, Jose Adelino Pimentel and his wife Delfina, both of St. Michael, Raimundo Pimentel and his wife Lucia, Paulina Soares and her husband Jose, both of Canada, Adriana Arruda and her husband Tony, Helen Furna and her husband Tony L. both of Wesport, Maria do Rosario Labao and her husband Tony of Warren, Rhode Island, Joao Pimentel and his wife Oriana, Duarte Pimentel, Paul Pimentel and his wife Liz, and Ana Pimentel and her fiance Robert Desousa all of Fall River, and his two step children Saulina Vasconcelos of St. Michael and Luis Vasconcelos of Fall River.  He also leaves thirty one Grandchildren and twenty Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Ernest Pimentel and his wife Valdemira, Natalia Abelha and her husband Arthur both of Fall River, Laura Resendes of West Warwick, Rhode Island, and Jose Manuel Pimental and his wife Laura of Canada. Raimundo was the Father of the late Carlos Alberto Pimentel and was the brother of the late Norbert Pimentel.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, February 28th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
