Ramiro O. Martins, 81, of East Freetown, husband of the late Maria G. (Pereira) Martins passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Born in Feteiras do Sul, Sao Miguel, Acores, a son of the late Jose O. Martins and the late Maria de Jesus (Elias) Martins.

Ramiro emigrated to Fall River in 1967 and worked as a construction laborer for Colony Construction for thirteen years. He then worked for Pioneer Finishing Corporation. He was once an active member of the Sociedade Cultural Açoriana.

He is survived by:  his son, Louis Martins (wife Margarida) of East Freetown; his brother, Jose Martins; two grandchildren, Tyler (wife Cristina) and Sara; one great grandchild, Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. Ramiro was predeceased by his five siblings: David Martins, Graciomilde Cabral, Filomena Couto, Daciel Oliveira and Gilbert Martins.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, May 13th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in Fall River.
