Raquel DeSousa Moniz, 29, lifelong resident of Swansea, wife of Richard J. Moniz, died unexpectedly Thursday 5/14/15 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, daughter of Alvaro & Fatima P. (Faria) DeSousa of Swansea, she was a graduate of Case High School and had enjoyed cheerleading in her younger days. With a degree in medical assistance from Salter School she worked as a CNA at Clifton Nursing & Rehab. A loving wife and mother, she was dedicated to her family. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves: 2 sons, Nathan Vieira & Zackary Alvaro Moniz, both of Swansea; her maternal grandmother, Maria Farias; 1 nephew, Jayden Moniz; several aunts, uncles, cousins & a godchild. Also niece of the late Alfred Farias. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, May 19th, in Espirito Santo Church. Private Cremation followed.
