Raymond Chambers, 86, of Tiverton, husband of Herminia (Andrade) Chambers, passed away March 04, 2008, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Cayce, Kentucky, son of the late Walter & Margie (Rushton) Chambers, he resided in Tiverton since 1958. Retiring from the military as a chief petty officer, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. As a hydraulics engineer for many years he designed machinery in various manufacturing applications for several different companies, and later worked as a security guard at NUSC. Besides his wife, of 56 years, he is survived by daughters, Ramona L. Stewart of Leeds, England, and Juanita J. Chambers of Tiverton; grandchildren, Scott Vezina, Lillie & Cayce Stewart; great granddaughters, Sarah & Hannah Vezina; several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were private.
