Raymond Chasse, 99, formerly of Somerset, husband of the late Mildred (Wilding) Chasse, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Luc Chasse and the late Nelda (Bedard) Chasse, he resided in Somerset for most of his life.

An Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 621 ^st Medical Clearing Co. in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe areas of engagement, receiving a letter from France for his participation in D-Day. Raymond was employed with Foxboro Corporation as a production planner for many years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed listening to music of the big band era.

Survivors include: two sons, Roy Chasse (wife Kathy) of Providence, R.I., and Brian Chasse (wife Deneen) of Assonet, MA; two grandchildren, Nathan Chasse and Nicholas Chasse; one great granddaughter, Kamilah; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Beatrice Landry.

Arrangements with Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home, 84 County St, Somerset are private and by family invitation only, in deference to state-mandated limitations on gathering size to mitigate the spreading of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
