Raymond J. Lafleur Sr., 94, of Fall River, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 3, 2023. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Arthur and Delia (Potvin) Lafleur.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita (Nunes). He was the brother of the late Arthur, Norman, and Roland Lafleur, Alice Ouelette, Delphine Sanchez and Bertha Arruda. He was a loving father to his son Raymond Jr. and his wife Joan, and his three daughters, Donna and her husband Wayne Zitano, Christine Roy and her companion Vincent Medeiros, and Stacy and her husband John Tavares. He was the proud grandfather to Jared, Cory, Brooke, Amanda, Aaron, Matthew, Jason, Lauren, Jeremy, Justin, Nicholas and Jessica. He was also the adoring great grandfather to Seth, Riley, Brenan, Bella, Ryan, Lily, Aria, Elana, Breanne, Sarah and Zoe and the very proud great-great grandfather to Averie. He was the loving uncle to Mary and Frank Botelho and their daughter Paula and her husband Mark Rego and their family. He also leaves behind his caring long-time companion of 12 years, Connie Ouelette and her family and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

His greatest joy and achievement was his family. Ray loved his family greatly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an incredible example to his family always hard working, kind and generous. Ray also enjoyed singing, dancing, playing Bingo and visiting the casino. He was an avid Celtic's fan and in his younger days, he loved playing golf.

He was employed by White's of Westport for over 50 years. He began his career as a bartender and worked his way up to manager/maître'd where he found tremendous pleasure in creating memories for thousands of wedding couples and touched the lives of many senior citizens.

The family acknowledges with grateful appreciation the compassionate kindness and support provided by the staff at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay and Southcoast VNA Hospice.

Following a private cremation, His Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 16th, at St. Louis de France Church in Swansea.
