Regina C. Marques, 73, of Fall River, wife of the late Luis C. Marques, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in the comforts of her home following a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao Vieira Branco and the late Maria Carreiro Cabral.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved crocheting, gardening, and keeping her home immaculate. A very self-sufficient woman, Regina also enjoyed her trips to Canada, Brazil, and back to her homeland in the Azores.

She leaves many loving nieces and nephews including her devoted caregivers, Margarida Resendes, Hilda Pereira, Jose Resendes, and Ana Branco. She was the sister of the late Maria Branco, Rosa Andre, Margarida Medeiros, Sisaltina Medeiros, Leontina Branco, Maria Gloria Vieira, and Manuel Branco.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, January 30th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
