Ricardo "Richard" Fragoza, Sr., 71, of Westport, MA husband of Amelia "Amy" (Raposa) Fragoza, died on March 18, 2008 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Tavares) Fragoza. He was semi-retired working at Westport's Council on Aging as a van driver. Past employment included Sampson's Potato Farm in Westport, Seawood Construction of Maine and High Point Paper Box of Fall River where he was a truck driver. He was a past president of Painter's Union Local #75 of Fall River, District Council #35 of Boston. He enjoyed playing pool, bingo, yard sales, traveling and being a handyman for his family and friends. He and his wife were members of the couples club at Our Lady of Grace Church. Besides his devoted wife of 50 years, survivors include: his sons Ricardo (wife Denise) Fragoza, Jr., David M. "Skinny" Fragoza (companion Robyn), daughter Linda (husband Robert) Pritchard all of Fall River. Also brother of Anthony (late wife Beverly) and Joseph "Danny" (wife Phyllis) Fragoza of Westport and the late Joan Trafka. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends gathered to celebrate his life at a Memorial Service which was held on April 5, 2008.
