Richard A. Audet, 56, of Rehoboth, partner of Dr. Lam Dao, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of Annette (Parent) Audet and the late Paul Audet.

He was a chef by trade and a graduate of Diman and J&W University.  He worked at St. Anne's Hospital and Rose Hawthorne Home for many years.  Prior to his passing, he worked as an optometry technician.  He enjoyed collecting art, Thomas Kincaide paintings, eyeglasses, watches, antiques and Disney tattoos. He loved hosting for family & friends, and enjoyed travelling. He possessed a fount of useless trivia, a quick, sharp wit combined with an amazing sense of humor.

Besides his partner of twenty-four  years, he leaves: his three brothers, David Audet and his wife, Mary, of North Dartmouth; Paul Audet and his wife, Dr. Jeannine Audet, of Westport; James Audet and his wife, Trish, of Lakeville; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Due to the COVID pandemic, a private service was held on Tuesday, April 21st, in our Fall River Chapel. His private cremation followed.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support.
