Richard G. Medeiros, 61, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday after a brief battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born in Fall River, son of the late Virginio T. Medeiros and Aldea (Dupont) Perry (husband-Arthur) formerly Medeiros. He was a custodian with the Fall River School System for many years. Richie was an avid New England Sports Fan, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Beloved father of Shelly Medeiros and Tracy Furtado both of Somerset; grandfather of Alyson and Amanda Awadjie, Jocelyn Furtado, Ian Anderson and Chandler Furtado; brother of Henry Medeiros (wife-Alma), Shirley A. Arnaldo (husband-Fred) and Theresa Medeiros all of Fall River. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. On Saturday, March 26,friends and family gathered for a Funeral Mass to celebrate Richard's life in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Please consider a donation in his memory to your favorite charity.
