Richard Machado-Fournier, 40, of Tiverton, RI passed away on Thursday, October 5th, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Roger Machado-Fournier, with whom he shared 15 years of marriage.

For many years, Rich was a supervisor at the Home Depot in Somerset. He also worked for Arruda's Dairy and most recently was a transport driver at Family Service Association. He was honored to have been an Executive Officer with the Swansea Oakhill Seekonk Grange #148 and was a devoted HOPE Community Theatre "Husband".

An eternal child at heart, he loved everything Disney, trains, Legos and Christmas. He had a deep connection with the woods of Maine where he loved spending time with Papa and his boys. Rich brought joy and laughter to everyone in his presence, backed it up with fiercely loyal support and could have made a career out of the power in his bear hugs.

To Rich, family - both blood and chosen - were everything to him.

He was the loving father of Christopher Robin Machado-Fournier and Ed (Jason) Machado-Fournier; son of Karen Oliveira, Pauline Cournoyer and the late Ray Cournoyer, Peg Fournier and the late Roger Fournier; brother of Norman Cournoyer, Josh Cournoyer, Elizabeth Cournoyer, Lisa Cournoyer and the late Mary Ellen Machado; brother-in-law of Liane Farias and her husband James, and Michelle Clarke; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., on Saturday October 14th from 4-6pm where his funeral service will take place at 5:30pm. Private cremation to follow.
