Richard Rodrigues, 85, of Michael Ave., Swansea, passed away Friday after a short illness. Husband of Theresa (McCormack) Rodrigues, to whom he was married for 66 years. Born in Fall River, son of the late John Rodrigues and Alice Bagnall formerly Rodrigues. An Army veteran, where he learned his trade, Rick worked as an x-ray technician at the VA Medical Center in Providence for 38 years. A long-time volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Swansea and active in their golf league for many years. Beloved father of Richard M. Rodrigues (wife-Agnes) of Fall River and Paul J. Rodrigues (wife-Gisele) of Warren; brother of Stephen Rodrigues (wife-Ann) of Swansea and the late John Rodrigues. He also leaves 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, May 6th, in St Dominic Church in Swansea, where Rick faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister. His committal with military honors followed at Notre Dame Cemetery.
