Rita (Caron) Camuso, formerly Hebert, age 88, of Westport, Massachusetts, passed away at the Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford on Monday, June 22, 2009, following an extended illness. She was the widow of Frank Camuso and Albert G. Hebert. Born in Westport, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Caron and the late Eva (Hebert) Caron. A Westport resident for most her life, she was employed as a sewing machine operator in the garment trade of Fall River for many years, retiring from Rothchilds Company, formerly Stafford Garment Mfg. Co., in 1978. Rita was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport and a member of the Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers Union. Surviving family members include her son Albert F. Hebert, Sr. and wife Cora of Westport, four grandchildren, Albert Hebert, Jr., Wayne Hebert, Barry Hebert and Corrieann Mello, seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services with the Silva Faria Funeral Home were private. Rita will rest with her late husband, Frank, in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
