Rita Laura Pacheco, 100, of Westport, wife of the late Joseph Pacheco and the late Harold Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pellitier and the late Rose (Mallioux) Pellitier.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a presser in the local garment industry for many years. She loved and cared for many feline "friends" in her home over the years. Rita also enjoyed card-reading for friends and family and traveling to such places as South Carolina and Upstate New York.

She leaves her daughter, Louise Gosson and her husband, Richard, of Fall River; her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Theresa Greenwood of Fall River; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Harold Greenwood, Rosie Silvia, and Robert Greenwood.

Her Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 22nd, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
