Rita E. (Roberts) Renaud, age 88, of Tiverton, Rhode Island, passed away at home on Friday, April 25, 2014. She was the widow of the late Roland F. Renaud. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Roberts and the late Bernadette (LaForest) Roberts. Rita was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Fall River and was a member of the Holy Rosary Women's Guild. A Fall River resident for most her life, she worked as a seamstress in the garment trade of this city for many years and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Survivors include a son, Ronald Renaud of Hernando Beach, FL, two daughters; Carol Renaud and Patricia Little, both of Tiverton, RI, five grandchildren; Tammy Friend, Jessica Pavao, Michael Renaud, Eric Little and Nicole Demas, a great-granddaughter, Avalon Demas, a sister-in-law, Harriet Heroux, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Robert D. Renaud, sister of the late William Roberts, Aime Joseph Roberts, Beatrice De Marco, and Laura De Marco. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 30, in Holy Rosary Church in Fall River followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
