Robert "Cowboy Bob" Thibault Sr., 70, of Fall River, loving husband of Rosemarie (Oliveira) Thibault, passed away Sunday 7/24/11 at home after a battle with lung cancer. Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph L. & Alice (Costa) Thibault, he was employed in the local textile industry for many years, retiring in 2005. An admired fisherman, he founded the Portuguese American Fishing Club and was a proud member of St. John's Athletic Club & St. John's Fishing Club. He had also served his country for a short time in the Air Force. Besides his wife, he leaves: 3 children, Bob Thibault Jr. (wife Debra) of Tiverton, Tina Thibault of Fall River, William McNulty (husband Scott-Allen) of New Bedford; 5 stepchildren, Donna Boyne (husband Bob), Ronald DeMello (wife Tina), Cheryl Lavoie (husband Richard), Sandra Mello (husband Raymond), Henry Mello; a brother, Ronald Thibault; 5 grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was also the brother of the late Janice Boucher, Pauline Ibay & Danny Thibault. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. He was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
