Robert P. "Burger" Duarte, 48, of Fall River, passed away on Monday. Born in Sao Roque, St. Michael, Azores, son of Alsuira (Sousa) Pedro of Fall River and the late Antone Duarte. He worked for Quaker Fabrics and more recently at Millstone Medical. Burger was an avid Boston sports fan, having always loved the Red Sox and Patriots. His dogs, Golden Glove and the late Sweat Pea were like his children. Survivors include his step-father, Jose R. Pedro of Fall River; brother, Mario A. Duarte (wife - Sharon) of Fall River; sisters, Luisa Mota (husband - Teofilo) of Tampa, FL and Nancy Bodnar (husband - Jason) of Nederland, CO; and his beloved nieces and nephews, TJ Mota, LeeAnna Duarte, Brandon Duarte, Amelie Bodnar and Penelope Bodnar. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, August 21, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
