Robert H. Diamond III, 58, of Johnston, RI, son of the late Robert H. & Ellen (Lynch) Diamond, unexpectedly passed away at home on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Born and raised in Providence, a Class of 1975 graduate of Moses Brown High School, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Rhode Island in 1980. Robert went on to a career of many years in sales and marketing, where his endearingly tenacious spirit served him well – employed in positions with various firms, such as: the former Briggs Ltd (of Providence), Morse Shoe of Canton, The TJX Companies, Store24 Corp, Tarnell Company, NuWave Polymers, R & R Floor Safety Systems, Advanced Technologies, and J.H. Lynch & Sons.
He is survived by: twin siblings, Margaret L. Diamond and Henry M. Diamond, both of Providence; a niece, Margo Benzuly of Providence, RI; nephews, Mitchell and Colin Diamond both of Swansea, MA, and Paul Benzuly of Providence, RI; his godmother-aunt, Margaret Joyce Diamond of Boston, uncles, Stephen P. & Gerald Lynch, and aunt, Connie Feely; and many cousins. He was also a nephew of the late: Paul D. Lynch, Margo Bauer, and James H. Lynch III.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 12th in Holy Name Church in Providence, RI.
