Robert Ferreira, 76, of Fall River, husband of Caroline (Cipolini) Ferreira, died Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015, unexpectedly after a short illness. Born in and lifelong resident of Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph & Olga (Perreira) Ferreira. A coach driver for 14 years with Amaral Bus Co., Westport, until his retirement in 2002, he had also worked at the former Firestone Rubber for 5 years. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Besides his wife, he leaves: 4 children, Robert J. Ferreira (wife Dorothy), Robin Camara (husband Michael), Russell Ferreira, and Rachel Ferreira all of Fall River; 2 brothers, Joseph Ferreira of Tiverton, and Gilbert Ferreira of Somerset; 8 grandchildren, Robby, Matt, Michael, Shawn, Jason, Jared, Amanda and Marshall; 5 great grandchildren, M.J., Ali, Gavin, Lexi, and Charlie; several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Randall Ferreira and brother of the late David Ferreira, Delta White, and Lorraine Ferreira. A Funeral Service was held on Sunday, June 28th, during calling hours in our Fall River Chapel. His private cremation followed.
