Robert A. Merkt, 86, formerly of Mitchell Drive, Fall River, died February 25th. Husband of the late Antoinette (Barboza) Merkt. Born in Berkley, CA, son of the late Henry and Matilda Merkt. Father of Doris Jones, Debra Soares, Jacqueline Mendonca, Antoinette Lepage, Gary Peter Merkt, Henry Merkt and the late Steven and Richard Merkt. Brother of Mildred Schwade and the late Lois Keane. He also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and best friend Robert E. O'Connell, Jr. His funeral was private.
